Hi Everyone, Blimey have I been slack or what! Last blog update November 8th 2009… So here’s whats happening since then: A few more updates to the Workshop page for starters. Moving to NSW around mid year before taking a holiday to the UK in July to catch up with friends and family. Finally taken up tenpin bowling in the last 5 months, now it’s a regular family sport down at Devonport Bowl, (at least until we move then we gotta look for a new Bowling alley). So far my best score is 161, with 4 strikes (and several spares) in one game. I must admit though I’m a bit chicken to play the game without bumpers at this stage LOL , but I guess I’ll get around to it. Had some friends over from the UK for a couple of weeks in February, had an awesome time, climbed Cradle Mountain, and explored much of Tasmania, including Hobart, Penguin, Wynyard, Stanley and Montezuma Falls to name just a few places. Oh yeah and played the old “Fuzzy Duck” game with, well… interesting results!! That’s about all for now. Until next time (hopefully without another 5 month gap!!), Mitch.

Hi everyone,Just had a great weekend, headed south to Oatlands, then on to Hobart. Went on a cruise around the entire Hobart harbour, passing under the Tasman Bridge, and back again. Followed by a 90 minute double-decker bus tour of Hobart itself on an original Leyland Atlantean (bit of a bone shaker but it got us there!!), we went through Battery Point, Hobart’s oldest suburb, up to the Cascade Brewery (Australia’s oldest brewery, built in 1824), back down the hill, through the city, over the Tasman Bridge and up Rosney hill for a spectacuar 360 degree view of Hobart, the Tasman Bridge and the harbour, then finally returning to Franklin wharf. All in all, a fun day Until next time,Mitch.

Hi Everyone, I was getting a little bored with the website’s design so I gave it another make-over. I figured a neutral wooden plank style background is a little easier on the eye then the busy background the site had before. The site also loads faster now than it did before – thanks to smaller images making up the background. You’ll also notice new music, I found some Celtic style music that i thought would give the site a more bright and cheery feel. Hope you like the new changes, let me know what you think. Ciao, Mitch

An interesting day to be sure, just rescued a Koala from the middle of the road near our house. Fortunately she was not hurt, just a little sick from something she had eaten. I called the Australian Wildlife Hospital (which is basically part of Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo), she was taken to Australia Zoo by the zoo’s veterinarians. I’ll be calling the Zoo in the morning to find out how she is. At first I thought she was a juvenile, remembering that I had seen larger koalas than her before, but as the vets pointed out, at 6Kg (12-13lb), she was an adult. If you check out the photo gallery on my website you’ll be able to see a photo of her, she is so adorable! I’ll post again when I find out how she is. Ciao for now. Mitch

Hi everyone, I haven’t had a chance to add anything to my blog recently because I’ve been at war with whats possibly one of the worst computer viruses ever. I strongly advise everyone reading this to keep an eye out for “Win32/Virut” – it infects every single EXE and SCR file on your computer rendering your computer useless. No Antivirus program to date can remove it. I have re-formatted my computer 5 times to get rid of this monster and I now have better Antivirus software to keep the bugger out! Basically AVG is a load of crap – it allowed this virus in! No – the best one by far seems to be Kaspersky Internet Security. With a built in firewall that actually works for once Anwyay speak soon. Ciao – Mitch
